FAQs
How long will I have to wait for a skin care consultation?
Typically, we will be able to accommodate you within a week. We do offer appointments Monday to Friday and one Saturday per month.
What is the fee for consultation?
Your skin care assessment and consultation by our Registered Nurse is free of charge.
Will I be able to proceed with the treatment the same day?
Yes, after your consultation we will move forward with your treatment plan, if you choose. This refers to dermal fillers and Botox with the exception of Artesense for which pre-testing is required.
How much are the treatments?
We will develop a treatment plan customized for you. Pricing for the recommended products will be reviewed in detail prior to commencing any treatment. In general, dermal fillers start at $500.00 per syringe.
Will I be swollen or bruised after Botox or Dermal Fillers?
There is always a potential for bruising. It is recommended to avoid Aspirin and Homeopathic medications such as Gingko Biloba, St. John’s Wart etc. one week prior to treatment. Swelling to the face is usually minimal however the lips can be more remarkable.
Are receiving injections painful?
A local anaesthetic block will be used to “freeze” the nasolabial region, lips and chin. It will feel very much like you’ve been to the dentist. The anaesthetic will dissipate in 40 minutes to one hour. A topical anaesthetic will be used for other treatment areas to minimize discomfort. Also, some of the dermal fillers contain local anaesthetic within the syringe.
Can I return to work after a Botox treatment?
Yes.
How long can I expect the Botox and Dermal Fillers to last for?
Botox starts working in 24 hours but you will not see the full effect for one week. It typically lasts for 4 months. It is not permanent. The dermal fillers (depending on which brand is used) can last 6-12 months. A more permanent product called Artesense, can last up to five years.
