If I call for an appointment, how long should I expect to wait to see the doctor for a consultation?
Typically, we can schedule your cosmetic consultation with Dr. Van Laeken within 2-3 weeks.
How much is the consultation fee and what method of payment do you accept?
The consultation fee is $150.00 (including tax), and will be credited toward your balance if surgery is completed within six months of the original quote. At the time of booking, a credit card will be required to secure your appointment. In the event that you must cancel your appointment within 48 hours or do not attend your appointment, the full amount will be charged to your credit card.
Several payment options are available, including Cash, Interac, Visa, Mastercard, Certified Cheque and Money Order.
Is Dr. Van Laeken experienced?
Dr. Van Laeken is a certified plastic surgeon who has been practicing medicine for over 28 years. Her specialties include cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery, facelift, abdominoplasty and liposuction.
Where does Dr. Van Laeken operate?
Cambie Surgery Centre and False Creek Surgery Centre are two of the accredited private facilities she operates at. Dr. Van Laeken also operates at St. Paul’s Hospital and MSJ with privileges at Children’s Hospital and VGH.
What if I have a medical problem after hours?
Please call our office number and the answering service will direct your call.
How long will I be off work off and when can I start to exercise?
This will depend on the procedure and the type of work that you do. For general guidelines, please refer to the page for the surgery you are interested in. It is advisable to check with Dr. Van Laeken at the time of consultation regarding your particular situation.
When will my first post operative visit be?
Kelle, our cosmetic coordinator will book your first appointment at one week post op to have your dressing removed and for you to be assessed. Your second appointment will be 10-14 days post op and sutures will be removed at that time.
How much will my requested procedure cost?
The cost varies depending on the procedure or procedures you are interested in, the amount of time needed in the OR, and if any implants are required. Our cosmetic coordinator will generate an itemized quote tailored to your specific requirements as outlined by Dr. Van Laeken.
