Dr. Nancy Van Laeken is a fully certified Plastic Surgeon
and is a member of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons
as well as the Canadian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Van Laeken graduated from Medical School at the University
of Ottawa and obtained her Plastic Surgery training at the University
of British Columbia.
She is currently the Head of the Department of Surgery for Providence
Health Care in Vancouver. Dr. Van Laeken is a Clinical Associate
Professor, Division of Plastic Surgery, at the University of
British Columbia and an active medical staff member at B.C.
Children's and Women's Hospital. She was awarded one of Canada's
top ten doctors in the Hospital News, January 2000!
Dr. Van Laeken operates at various hospitals in the Lower Mainland.
For private cosmetic procedures, she operates at False Creek
Surgical Centre or the Vancouver Plastic Surgery Center. Both
of these facilities are fully certified by the Canadian and
American Associations for Ambulatory Surgical Facilities (CAASF)
(AAASF) and provide quality care based on the fundamental values
of practice as set out in the guidelines of the College of Physicians
and Surgeons of British Columbia. A skilled anaesthetist, ensuring
optimum safety and quality care, oversees all surgical procedures.
